YUGMA BILLING PROCESS
Q: How will you bill me?

We offer both monthly and annual billing. You can pay by credit card online. All monthly & annual billing are recurring in nature. Our Enterprise plans have the option of invoicing. Contact us for details.

Q: What is Recurring Billing?

To ensure you experience no interruption in your service, we will bill from your credit card to continue your service subscription. The chargeable amount will be the same as previous and your current service will continue as before, unless you elect to downgrade or cancel your subscription at the end of your term. However prior to your subscription expiration date, you will receive an email reminder (sent to the registered email address) notifying you that we will bill your credit card to continue your service subscription.

Q: Am I eligible for any discounts?

We offer great discounts if you choose annual billing for our P Series or Enterprise plans!

Q: Can I change plans at anytime?

You bet! Upgrade anytime right from your Yugma dashboard by signing in. Visit our plan comparison page for more information about specific plans.

Q: How do I downgrade my Professional service to the Free service (i.e., how do I cancel my Professional
     service)?

You can request to downgrade your service at any time. Simply sign in to the Yugma website https://www.yugma.com and click "Downgrade Account" under the "Account Management" on the right navigation, then select the service level to downgrade to. We will process your downgrade/cancel request promptly. Your Professional service will remain in effect until the end of the current billing cycle. However a request to cancel or downgrade a monthly or annual service subscription will NOT result in a refund. At the end of the current billing cycle, your Professional Service will be downgraded to the Yugma Free service level. At that point, you will be able to use Yugma Free service as often as you wish. If you ever need to upgrade again, simply follow the upgrade procedure again.

Q: What if I don't downgrade or cancel my subscription for next billing?

Our billing process is completely automatic and recurring. So, if you don't put any downgrade request, your credit card will be automatically billed for the next billing cycle. This is completely your responsibility to downgrade or cancel your subscription before the next billing due date. Any request for refund will not be entertained if you miss to downgrade or cancel your subscription before due date.

Q: What will happen if I want to upgrade from my current Yugma Pro account to a higher subscription level?

It's easy to upgrade your current subscription to a higher service subscription level. Whether you are a Monthly or Annual Yugma Pro customer, when you upgrade, we will credit the price of the unused portion of your current subscription level and apply it against the subscription price of the higher service level you wish to upgrade to.

Here's an example:

Standard Annual/Monthly Subscription Price [ - ] Annual/Monthly Subscription Credit (the unused days in the term [ x ] the daily rate for the service) [ = ] New Upgrade Service Price

RECENT PRICING UPDATES
Q: What happened to Yugma's old subscription levels?

Subscriptions offered to Yugma users have been recently modified. Yugma Pro 10 and Pro 30 subscriptions will no longer be available for purchase. Please note that if you change your level of service, (by either upgrading or downgrading) you will not be able to go back to the Pro 10 or Pro 30 level of service and you would have to pick from the posted pricing selections.

Q: What happens if I'm currently a Pro 100 or Pro 500 account holder?

The prices on the Pro 100 and Pro 500 accounts are still available at a higher price. However, if you were an active Pro 100 or Pro 500 subscriber, you will be able to continue your subscription at your original price as long as you remain a paid subscriber. If you decide to not renew or downgrade your subscription at the end of your term, you will not be able to upgrade at your original subscription price in the future.

The webinar feature lets people register for a web meeting and allows the host to collect information on the registrants. Scheduling a webinar allows you to decide what information to ask people when they register. A unique URL is generated, to place on your website or in an email, which people can click on to register. Registrants will then automatically receive the information they need to join the webinar. The host can then access reports on who registered and, after the webinar, on who attended. The webinar feature is available as an add-on to your regular paid Yugma account.

BEFORE USING YUGMA
Q: Will Yugma run on my desktop or laptop operating system?

See if your system is Yugma ready.

Q: What do I do if Yugma does not automatically install on my PC?

Yugma is a Java based application. You may not have the proper Java runtime environment on your system. To remedy this, download Java.

Q: I'm using Internet Explorer and I'm having trouble downloading Yugma.?

If you are attempting to download Yugma using Internet Explorer and you are directed to the Yugma download instruction page, but none of the described download options are available - the download is most likely being blocked by the Internet Explorer (IE) Security Bar. This small yellow bar will pop down from the top of the page and read "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options." This bar must be clicked to allow the download.

Q: What if I cannot install Java?

If you are having issues with Java, you can manually install Yugma.

Note: Yugma currently runs on Sun Java. If you are having issues installing Java within a corporate environment, please contact your IT department.

Q: Linux Users: How do I install Sun Java?

1. Debian 4.0 (Etch): Run "sudo apt-get install sun-java5-plugin sun-java5-jre sun-java5-bin" from a terminal window.

2. Ubuntu (Gutsy/Hardy): Run "sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-bin"

3. RedHat (Fedora, CentOS): Open a web browser and navigate to the following page: http://java.com/en/

From there, click the free Java download button and download the "Linux RPM" or "Linux x64 RPM" depending on your architecture.

Once you've downloaded the file, open a terminal window and change to the download location (ie cd ~/Download). Run the installer using the following command: "sudo sh jre-6u*.bin" and follow the installation prompts.

4. SuSE: Follow the instructions for installation through YaST here:

hehttp://en.opensuse.org/Installing_Sun%27s_Java_on_SUSE_Linux #Installing_Java_through_YaST

Q: Linux Users: I've installed Sun Java but Yugma still will not run, what's wrong?

1.Typically java needs further configuration past the basic installation. Since multiple java version can be installed at once, Linux Distributions have a way to set a "default"using the "update-alternatives" commands.

The following is an example to configure Sun Java's java binary to be included in the default path (/usr/bin) and also to setup the Firefox plugin.

Before installing java, open a terminal window and type the following: "sudo /usr/sbin/update-alternatives -config java" and record the options you are given - do not change anything yet, simply hit entered when finished.

Once you've installed Java run "sudo /usr/sbin/update-alternatives -config java" and note any differences.

If you now have additional Java options to choose from, choose the "java-#-sun" or "jre1.#.0_0#" depending on your distribution and installed java version number by entering the "Selection" number and hitting enter.

This should have given you a list of available java installations - if you don't see any new options after the installation we will need to setup your Java install manually.

2. Determine your java install location and note the path (For redhat, this is typically /usr/lib/jvm/java-#-vendor and for Debian based systems this is typically /usr/java/jre1.#.#_0# based on the version and update level you have installed.

Run the following commands to install the java binary into the default path and set it as the default:

"sudo /usr/sbin/update-alternatives -install /usr/bin/java java /usr/java/jre1.6.0_04/bin/java 1"

Now run the following command to install the java plugin:

"sudo ln - s /usr/java/jre1.6.0_04/plugins/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib /mozilla/plugins/"

*note You will have to change your path based on where and which version you have installed

3. You can check your java installation by browsing to: http://www.javatester.org/ and clicking "Test the version of Java your browser is using"

Q: What do I do if I get a message requesting Proxy sign-in?

Contact your company's IT administrator to get the necessary information to complete this form.

USING YUGMA
Q: How do I use Yugma?

Yugma is very easy to use. Please refer to the Quick Reference Guides and Self-Paced Tutorials. You can find them on the Support page.

Q: How do I invite others to join my meeting?

By phone: Direct your invited guests to http://www.yugma.com and have them click the "JOIN A MEETING" link. Be sure to provide them with your Meeting ID.

By instant message: At the top of the Yugma control panel, click on the Copy Meeting URL/ID button (the round button to the right of the Meeting ID and Conference Call number); then select "Copy Meeting URL". Start an Instant Message, paste the Meeting URL/link into the message, and send to your guest. They will be able to click on the link and join your Yugma Meeting.

By email: In the Yugma control panel, first select "Action" from the drop down menu and then select "Invite " or click the black "Invite" button that appears at the beginning of your meeting. This should automatically open a new email from your default email editing application. The invite will contain a URL or link to your meeting and a message that states you are inviting your guest to join your Yugma meeting. Then just send the message to your guest. If you use a web-based email service, copy the meeting URL/ID (see By instant message) and paste into an email to send to your attendee.

Q: What is the difference between Invite (Share/View) and Invite to View Only?

With the Share/View Invite, your attendees will be able to interact with the host including features such as: File Sharing, Public/Private Chat, Shared Mouse & Keyboard, and Changing Presenters. If they do not already have Yugma installed on their system, they will be asked to do so to interact with the host.

With View Only, attendees do not have to install anything on their computer in order to watch the Presenter's desktop. They will be able to interact only through your choice of voice communication.

Note: both Share/View and View Only require updated Sun Java to properly run.

Q: Is my meeting limited to the time period scheduled?

No, your meeting is not limited to the time period scheduled. The scheduled time period helps provide a framework for your meeting and is for your and your attendee's reference only.

Q: Can my Meeting ID be reused?

Yes, your Scheduled Meeting ID can be reused for up to 6 months after the date you originally scheduled the meeting on (not for).

Q: How do I reuse my Meeting ID?

You may edit your original meeting invitation, if you choose, by updating any information. Then send out your invitation again, using the same Meeting ID. It is not needed to edit the meeting in order to reuse or redistribute the Meeting ID.

Q: How long can I use a Meeting ID?

Meeting IDs are limited to a 6 month time period (from origination date it was scheduled on).

Q: Do you provide teleconferencing?

Yes, Yugma provides its community with free teleconference services. The service can be reached by making a standard toll call to +1-218-936-7975 (U.S. telephone number). This number is displayed at the top of the Yugma Control Panel. Standard toll call charges apply, which are billed directly by your long distance telephone company. There are no additional fees charged to you by Yugma for using the teleconferencing service. The teleconferencing service can support up to 500 callers per meeting.

Q: I can't connect to the Yugma Teleconferencing Service.

The workaround solution is to use our backup teleconferencing numbers at +1-218-844-3366 or +1-218-486-3889 (U.S. telephone numbers).

Q: Does Yugma support VoIP communications?

Yugma is specifically designed to complement and work smoothly with all VoIP service providers around the world.

Q: How can I speed up the screen sharing when I am hosting on a Mac?

If you change the background of your Mac to a solid color and move desktop icons to a temporary folder, it will speed up your screen sharing. These two options reduce your screen resolution which increases the refresh rate of your screen.

Q: Why is my viewing screen faded and discolored or mouse leaving trails?

Your computer display color setting may be set too low. If your display color setting is set at 16 bit, you need to change to 32 bit for a better viewing screen. Right click on desktop|Properties|Settings|change color quality to 32 bit.

Q: Is there a reason why my screen sometimes locks up and participants do not see any movement on their end?

It could be that your computer screen saver is set to launch too quickly. For example, if you are giving a presentation and spend a long time explaining a slide (without moving your mouse or advancing the presentation), your screen saver may launch. To correct the issue, increase the timing of your screen saver or turn it off before starting your meeting. You can also click on the sharing button twice (once to pause and again to restart the sharing feature).

Q: What can I do with the Yugma Widget?

The Yugma Widget is available so that you can add a Yugma button to your web site, blog, intranet, etc. It makes it really easy for others to join you on a web conferencing meeting. You can get your free Yugma widget buttons at https://www.yugma.com/share/widgets/share_tools.php.

Q: How do I uninstall Yugma?

Windows: The Yugma Uninstaller can be found in the Windows Start Menu in the Yugma folder.

Mac: Open the icon for your Macintosh Hard Drive (or HD). Open the folder "Users".

Then open the folder with the name of the user account that you are using right now (it should be marked by an icon looking like a house to show it as this user's home folder). Next open the folder "Applications".

Drag the folder "Yugma" into the Trash icon in your Mac Dock.

Then hold the CTRL key and click on the Yugma icon on the Mac Dock and choose the menu item "Remove from Dock".

Then open the FINDER menu and click on "Empty Trash" to completely remove the deleted Yugma folder.

Linux: Yugma installs in the folder /home/(your Linux user name)/. You can just delete the Yugma folder from there.

Q: I can't uninstall Yugma. How do I remove Yugma manually?

Windows: Press the Windows flag key (between CTRL and ALT) and R at the same time to open the RUN window.

(Note: In some corporate environments this may be disabled - please ask your system administrator to assist you.)

In the RUN window, type: %userprofile% and press OK.

This should open your user folder. Find the folder called "Yugma" and delete it. (Note: If you get an error message that the folder cannot be deleted, parts of Yugma may still be running. Close Yugma completely first or restart your computer.) If you have a file called "Yugma.ico" or just "Yugma" with the Yugma logo as picture, you may also delete that.

Close the window.

Now use the Windows Start Menu to locate and open your Windows Control Panel and find and run the Add/Remove Programs control panel on Windows XP or the Programs (Uninstall a program) or Programs and Features control panel on Windows Vista. Wait for the window to finish loading.

Then find the entry called "Mirage Driver 1.1, click on it and then press the Uninstall button. You may have to restart Windows for this change to take effect at some point. Then open the Windows Start Menu again and find the Yugma folder. Use the right mouse button to click on the Yugma folder and choose DELETE.

Then delete the Yugma icon from your Desktop.

Yugma is now removed from your computer.

USING YUGMA SE (FOR SKPYE)
Q: Does my Yugma account work on both the standard client and the Yugma SE?

Yes.

Q: How do I invite people to join my Yugma meeting?

With Yugma SE (For Skype), you can invite your Skype contacts by clicking the Invite Contacts button or by selecting Invite Contacts under the Action menu in the control panel. You can also invite people to your meeting by email in the Invite Participants panel or by simply asking them to press "Join meeting" on the Yugma homepage and giving them the meeting ID.

Q: When I send an email invitation from Yugma SE, why is my attendee asked to download the Yugma application?

The email invitations and invitation links can only launch the Yugma 4.0 application. Due to Skype protocol, Yugma SE (For Skype) can only be launched through Skype, (as compared to being launched through an invitation link). People can still join a Yugma SE meeting using the Yugma Free, Yugma Pro or the Viewer Only option, but they will not be able to participate in the instant messaging or voice portion of the meeting without running Skype.

Your attendees can also join with Yugma SE if they have it installed. To install, simply launch it from the Skype Extras section on Windows or from the icon on the Mac OS and manually join the meeting by selecting "Join" at the top of the Yugma SE log-in dialog, then entering the meeting ID for the meeting they are trying to join.

Q: Why am I being told to purchase a valid license when I try to use my Yugma SE (For Skype)?

Due to a recent Skype update for Windows users, some users have seen this message in the Skype Extras Manager window. We have some recommended steps to resolve this issue, but please remember that this issue is associated with the Skype Extras Manager. As a result, you may need to contact Skype for further assistance.

1. Please attempt to update your Skype License. This can be done inside of Skype by going to tools > Do More (Extras) > Organize Your Extras, then clicking the options link at the bottom of the Extras Manager Window. From here, click the Refresh Licenses button, then attempt to Launch Yugma SE again. If this does not resolve the issue, please proceed to step 2.
2. Please update your version of Skype by clicking Help | Check for Updates in your Skype console. This update should resolve this error. Please note that this message is from Skype, not Yugma, and Yugma DOES NOT require a license to be purchased to use our software or service.

Q: Do people that join my meeting need to be Skype users?

No. You can invite anyone to your meeting, via email, phone, or instant message.

Q: How do I un-install YugmaSkype (aka: Yugma SE)?

For Windows users: In Skype go to the Tools menu. In the Tools menu, select Do More then select Get Extras. In the Skype Extras Manager panel, click Sharing in the left column. Right click on the YugmaSE Team Collaboration panel and select Uninstall. For Mac Users:Go to your Applications folder and locate the YugmaSkype folder. Drag the YugmaSkype folder to the trash.

Q: What do I need to use the Yugma SE (For Skype)?

All you need is a computer running Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X 10.3-10.5 Java version 1.5, and a Skype account.

Q: Can I chat between Yugma and Skype applications?

Not at this time. We have disable chat in the current release of the Yugma SE (For Skype) application to emphasize the use of Skype's chat feature.

Q: How do I add Yugma to my Mac Dock?

Open FileFinder, go to Applications. Go to the YugmaSkype folder. Now drag and drop the Yugma SE (For Skype) icon to your Dock.

Q: When using Yugma SE (For Skype), what's the teleconference number?

You can use Skype for your audio conference for up to 25 (Windows Host) or 10 (Mac Host) Skype callers. If you have over your applicable number of callers OR not all of your attendees use Skype, you can use the Yugma teleconference service, free of charge - simply dial +1-605-475-4261. Refer to our conference call reference page for more information (only standard long distance rates apply). Skype and non-Skype users can utilize this teleconference number for the meeting.

Q: How do I record my Yugma meeting when using Yugma SE (For Skype)?

The feature is not available from this application at this time. You can still record, using the same account, from the standard Yugma client. The record feature will be included in the next version of Yugma SE (For Skype).

Q: Can I suppress the "Thank You" message that I receive at the end of Yugma for Skype meetings?

Yes. Simply sign in to the Yugma website using your Username and Password.

Q: I can't see my list of Skype contacts when using the "Actions | Invite" feature. How do I fix this?

First of all, please make sure that you launch Skype before you run Yugma SE (For Skype). Secondly, make sure that you select "Allow this application to use Skype" on Macs for the application called SkypeAPI4java . You can also check the current setting as seen by Skype. On a PC, for example, you go to "Tools | Options | Advanced | Manage other programs' access to Skype" and make sure that javaw.exe is "Allowed to use Skype." On a Mac, you can check this by going to "Accounts | Manage API Clients", and make sure that SkypeAPI4java is "Allowed to use Skype."

If you have followed the above instructions and you still have a problem, then you are actually experiencing a bug we have recently uncovered in Skype's java API code. We have submitted a request to Skype to fix this bug (10/25/07) and will report back to users when the bug is fixed.

In the meantime, you can still use Yugma SE (For Skype) and simply invite your contacts by telling them the Yugma Meeting ID verbally, of by copy/pasting the Meeting ID using your Skype chat. Note that the small button to the right of the Meeting ID allows you to easily copy the Meeting ID and the Meeting URL, whichever you prefer.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Q: What are the technical specifications to run Yugma?

Yugma will run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista (including 64bit with one limitation - see the following note), Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5 and Linux – specifically versions Centos, Red Hat Enterprise 4.0, Slackware, Mandriva, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, and Open Suse. Yugma does not support Windows 98 or older or Windows ME. Your system needs to be running Java runtime 1.5.0_06 or later. If you are running Windows and you have an older version of Java, then Yugma will install the required version of Java. If you are running Mac OS X 10.4 or later or Linux, then please make sure that you have Java runtime 1.5.0_06 or later or run the software updates to install the later version of Java runtime. If you are not sure which version of Java is running on your system, or if you want to ensue your computer is ready for Yugma, run our verification tool on your system.

Q: I am getting an error while installing Yugma on a 64bit version of Windows

The Yugma installer includes a display driver (Mirage Driver) that helps speed up screen sharing but is otherwise not needed for Yugma to work. The currently included version is not compatible with 64bit Windows versions and will show an error message during installation and possibly on each Windows start - we recommend to use the Windows control panels to uninstall the Mirage Driver in this case. You can download a newer version of this driver or use Yugma without it.

Q: I am getting the message "An Instance of Yugma is already running."

First see if you have a Yugma icon in the lower right corner, by the Windows clock. If yes, double-click it to open the Yugma panel, then use the menu FILE - EXIT to close Yugma. Then you can start or join a meeting again through our website or an invitation link. BTW: You can also start a meeting directly from the Yugma panel from the FILE menu.

If you don't have the Yugma icon in the system tray, press CTRL+SHIFT+ESCAPE at the same time to open Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab, then click the Image Name header to sort by name. Find any occurrence of JAVAW.EXE, select it and hit End Process. Keep repeating until all JAVAW.EXE instances are gone. Then start or join a meeting again.

Remember to close Yugma using FILE – EXIT to avoid this issue. Clicking the X will minimize Yugma. This issue will be fixed in our next release.

Q: I am frequently getting the following message: "There is problem with your network connection that is affecting this program. Please change your network connection and sign-in." What is the problem and how do I resolve it?

This message occurs when the application determines that it cannot communicate properly with the Yugma servers. This can occur when your network connection experiences a brief outage, or if we perform a maintenance procedure.
